It was an okay place but I would not want to stay in that particular cabin again
I like the location and the surrounding neighborhood was attractive. The trees were wonderful. The cabin was clean.
There were some challenges and while I anticipated a rustic cottage I did not anticipate it to be a bit run down. firstly, it mentioned in the cabin instructions that the heat was supposed to remain at 55 in the cottage and while we fed the fireplace to knock the cold off in the morning and evenings the fireplace was originally built to be a gas fireplace and the gas line was capped off to convert it to firewood heat. The problem is it didn't have great ventilation and was too shallow and not built for wood and struggled to get enough oxygen to the wood without constant attention plus we both smelled like an open air fire pit when we got home. The blinds were broken. the towel rack in the bathroom was only anchored by screws not drywall anchors so it wouldn't support a face cloth. Outside of that it was okay.
Thank you for taking the time to share your recent stay here with us. While we wish that you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve our services. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience and if you give us a second chance we will do our best to deliver a enjoyable vacation that so many of our travelers have grown so fond of.
