The name "Dallas" is derived from the British 'dol' meaning "meadow" and 'gwas' meaning "dwelling". Meadow House is a petite guesthouse inspired by Dallas architecture and art museums, native plants to the area, as well as my own travels and heritage from Southeast Asia. Most of the furnishings in Meadow House are vintage, a part of our commitment to reducing consumption while providing a safe and comfortable experience for guests. We're a 5 min drive from the lively Bishop Arts district. The Space Our home caters to both short term and medium term stays, making it an excellent choice for corporate housing needs. Whether you find yourself temporarily displaced from your home or require accomodations for your team during an extended project in our area, we provide a welcoming and comfortable "home away from home" experience. Other things to note LOCATION The guesthouse is its own structure located in the backyard of our primary residence. SECURITY CAMERAS We have security cameras outside in our backyard for our safety and security as well as that of all our guests. PETS This is not a pet friendly house. Pets are not allowed. We are sorry for the inconvenience. SAFETY DEPOSIT OR DAMAGE WAIVER REQUIRED We understand that accidents can happen. To help protect the space and ensure a worry-free stay, all reservations require either a damage waiver or a safety deposit. You can choose the option that works best for you: a non-refundable damage waiver ranging from USD39 up to USD79, which covers accidental damage and normal wear and tear (no deductible) or a refundable safety deposit of USD450, which will be returned after checkout as long as no damage is found and all house rules are followed. If you’ve already purchased Damage Protection Insurance through a third-party provider, feel free to share your policy with us—we’re happy to review it and we may consider waving the requirement based on your coverage. Please note: The damage waiver does not cover damage caused by house rule violations. NO PARTIES/LARGE GATHERINGS We hope you use and love our home but must remind you that only registered guests will be allowed over while you are renting our property. NOISE LEVEL MONITORING Please note that in order to be a good neighbor and host responsibly, comply with local noise ordinances and occupancy regulations, and prevent unauthorized parties, we have installed a noise alert device in our home. We can assure you that your privacy is our utmost concern; this device is NOT recording NOR storing sound data.
