The lake is over 7,900 acres and has over 27 miles of shoreline with bays, coves, points and peninsulas to explore. During the summer, activities such as boating, water skiing, wake boarding, tubing, swimming, sailing, jet skiing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, and fishing are popular with our guests. Fish species include Panfish, Large mouth Bass, Small mouth Bass, Northern Pike, Trout, Walleye and Catfish. The Green Lake Sailing School offers sailing lessons to all age groups during the summer, and there are frequent regattas for different boat classes. The water stays clean and clear year round unlike a lot of lakes in the region. There are several places to eat right on the lake- You can take your boat over to each of them or a short ride in the car and you're there. Gas for your boat can be purchased on the lake at several Marinas and there is a boat landing about a 1/2 mile away from the house. When you are not on the water the Green Lake area offers an extensive network of bike trails and routes available, including "Loop the Lake," a 24 mile trail which circumnavigates the perimeter of the lake. The Green Lake Conservancy and Green Lake Sanitary district maintain properties that offer public hiking trails at various locations.
